Our Annual Arbitration Symposium—one of ICC’s flagship dispute resolution events—will be held this year on Monday 15th October.
A stellar cast of speakers drawn from private practice, industry and the judiciary will look at the increasingly vexed issue of delays in international arbitration proceedings. One of the reasons why parties choose to arbitrate their differences is so that they can obtain a speedy resolution of their dispute by the most efficient means possible. However, research suggests that very few cases are completed in less than six months.
The President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, John Beechey, will give a keynote address at the event on “cost effectiveness and the new ICC rules”; while the Rt Hon Sir Stanley Burnton will provide a view from the Bench on dealing with delays. Other speakers include Andrew Clarke (Esso UK), Adam Constable QC (Keating Chambers) and Sir Brian Neill (20 Essex Street).
This event is kindly sponsored by Berwin Leighton Paisener LLP.
